CHARLOTTE CHURCH’S Late Night Pop Dungeon

Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon’ dubbed ‘The Choice of an Angel’ features on Lead Vocals Welsh Superstar Charlotte Church.

The singer with the Voice of an Angel takes on everything from Britney Spears to Radiohead in this pop mash-up and headline set. Few artists have been through as many musical reinventions as Charlotte Church by the age of 29, but then few had a platinum-selling debut album by the time they were 13.

Even through her deliberately targeted chart-pop phase in the mid-noughties, which saw her release the mainstream-ready Tissues and Issues as well as sit as a judge on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Over the Rainbow talent show, you always suspected her heart lay elsewhere.

A feature on her favourite records that ran on alternative-driven site The Quietus back in 2013 confirmed as such, as she picked the likes of Neutral Milk Hotel’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea and Brand New’s The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. Playfully, the article ran with the header Choice of an Angel.

Since the turn of the decade, she’s journeyed further down that road. A string of adventurous new EPs have earned rave reviews from indie blogs like The 405 and The Line of Best Fit.

The natural progression from that, it seems, is her Late Night Pop Dungeon. Debuted last year at Glastonbury and Wales’ Green Man festival, it sees Church and an expansive backing band rattle through the last couple of decades’ worth of pop hits, from Basement Jaxx to 10cc.

The show itself more than makes up for it. This is a devastatingly vital run through two decades of pop majesty, executed with real love and understanding. Church is joined by a full band and a clutch of backing singers. Members of the latter occasionally take centre stage, most notably on a memorable version of M.I.A.’s Paper Planes. Elsewhere, what Church has clearly mastered is an understanding of when to move swiftly through the gears and when to take her foot off the gas.

THE ORIGINAL: Man himself from the blockbuster film that played the character of ‘Mickah Wallace’ The head butting bouncer & drummer.

The man who’s fronted the touring band for the last ten years; appearing in countries such as Brazil, USA, Canada, all over Europe, Scandinavia, South Africa, The Middle East, India, Japan, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand – the last guesstimate being that he performed to an excess of a couple of million people!

He has performed alongside such legendary artists as James Brown, Wilson Picket, Edwin Starr, Steve ‘The Colonel’ Cropper, Dennis Edwards (The Temptations), BB King, Sam Moore, Dan Ackroyd and many, many more. It was Sam Moore who questioned, ‘how can a little white guy have a soul and a voice that’s so black!’

Now with his NEW SENSATIONAL SHOW & his own 8 PIECE BAND performing all the hits from the film & much, much, more!

DAVE FINNEGAN’S COMMITMENTS feature the same commitment to their music, with the instantly recognisable horn section, and that sweet Soul rhythm section. On their ongoing journeys they undoubtedly continue where the film left off, still spreading the word of Otis Redding, Wilson Picket and the other apostles of soul, and in doing so enabling us all to experience the essence of ……………….…..SWEET SOUL MUSIC.

Hear all the hits from the film performed by one of the stars of the movie, songs like: ‘Mustang Sally’, ‘Take Me To The River’, ‘Chains Of Fool’, ‘The Dark End Of The Street’, ‘Try A Little Tenderness’, ‘Mr Pitiful’, ‘In The Midnight Hour’, ‘Hard To Handle’ and many more!

Georgia Box is an English R&B, pop, and folk singer and songwriter. A social media sensation as well, she has been tipped to be the next Rita Ora.

A native of Essex, Georgia started to sing even before she could properly talk. She has always loved music and performing for others. As a child, she was a fan of the British television talent series ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ and used to dress up like the celebrities who appeared there and put on performances for her family. Box accumulated professional experience by doing gigs, radio shows, and TV shows, and by singing backing vocals for other artistes.

After receiving a three-year degree in professional performance from a prestigious college, she started making videos of herself singing and uploaded them on Facebook (nearly 500,000 likes) and YouTube. As of March 2018, she has garnered over 90 million views on her content and has emerged as one of the most promising stars in the industry today. In August 2016, Box released her debut Extended Play, ‘Love Languages’.

Since the release of her EP, several management companies and renowned songwriters have shown interest in working with her. She was courted by the creators of both ‘The Voice’ and ‘The X Factor’ for an appearance on the respective shows but she declined both offers, preferring to work her way to success in a more traditional route.

Georgia Box debuted on stage in 2003 with a Royal Opera House London’s production of Leoš Janáček’s ‘The Cunning Little Vixen’. Her television debut came about in the same year, in ITV’s ‘The Pride of Britain Awards’. In the subsequent years, she appeared in productions of Bedřich Smetana’s ‘The Bartered Bride’ (2015) at the Royal Opera House London and the musical ‘Move It’ (2013) at London Olympia. She was also active as a solo performer, singing at various festivals and award ceremonies.
