Can I bring my own alcohol?

Due to licensing restrictions, you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the arena. There is a wide range of premium alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks available for purchase from our bars.

On site bars will operate a challenge 25 policy.

Can I bring soft drinks/water with me?

You are allowed to bring water with you (of not more than 500ml per bottle) but not soft drinks, as long as these are unopened/sealed when you arrive. Anything considered open would be confiscated on the gate. Camel packs (or similar) are not permitted.  Please note there will be free water points inside the arena so you can refill any empty water bottle throughout the day.

What items can I NOT bring with me?

As well as alcohol, no glass or sharp objects (including picnic cutlery) are not permitted to be brought into the event and all guests will be subject to a brief search on entry as part of our security policy. Please see prohibited items below.

Can I bring a barbecue?

Due to safety concerns, barbecues of any type are prohibited anywhere on the festival site.

What Facilities are on site?

There are bars selling Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, food stalls for various foods and coffees. O2 will have a phone charging station on site. There will be medical, security and welfare facilities on site. There are toilets on site.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not permitted anywhere on the site, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Can I bring my own picnic table/chairs?

There is limited space so chairs and tables are not permitted. There are no seats available for the concert and you will be required to stand for long periods of time. Please bear this in mind when booking your tickets. It is possible to sit down on the grass of the Arena between acts, but you will not be able to see the performance while sitting on the grass.

Can I bring a gazeebo/small tent?

No gazeebos or tents are allowed into the site.


Professional cameras (including any SLR-type camera) and video/audio equipment are strictly prohibited. Live video/audio recordings made without permission are prohibited.


The safety of our visitors and staff is our priority. All visitors will be required to go through a security point. Inspired 2019 reserves the right to search anyone entering Abergavenny Castle, and all bags will be searched on entry. Please allow sufficient time to pass through the security points. Please also consider whether you need to bring a bag with you.

Can I get Concessionary Ticket’s?

As this concert is being undertaken to create funds for charitable and good causes there are no concessionary tickets or discounted tickets for any group; we hope you understand.

Are There any Extra Costs?

Tickets cost £24.50 per ticket per day, different ticket outlets may charge a small booking fee; to cover their costs, agency fees etc. thereby allowing the full face value of the ticket to go towards the event to optimise the monies made for the charities, we hope that you understand these fees are beyond our control and will be notified to you before you buy tickets.

Can I Park at the Castle?

There is no parking at the event, however Abergavenny Castle is in the centre of the town with numerous public car parks in close proximity.

Where Can I Park?

There are a number of car parks in Abergavenny:

Can I Camp?

There is no camping or caravanning at the castle but there are a number of facilities around Abergavenny including:

Blossom Touring Park Motorhome and Camp Site NP7 8BG

Pyscodlyn Farm Caravan & Camping Site NP7 7ER

Glanusk Park NP8 1SG

Pandy Caravan and Motorhome Club Site NP7 8DR

What Time Can I Get In?

Gates for both days open at 2:00pm with the shows starting at 3:00pm. All timings and artists may be subject to change and will be notified on the Internet.

Will Strobe lighting, lasers and smoke machines be used during performances?

Yes some performances will use strobe lighting, lasers and smoke machines as part of their performance. High levels of sound can also cause effect on hearing, caution is advised.

Can I leave and re enter the event? 

There will be no general re entry to the event; specific requests  in unforeseen circumstances will be considered by security at the main entrance to the castle.

Disabled Guests

Inspired 2019 welcomes disabled guests and takes all reasonable measures to assist with their attendance and enjoyment of the event. At the same time, the event takes place in the beautiful grounds of Abergavenny Castle and disabled guests should be aware that the main arena and surrounding areas are, naturally, fairly uneven and may be difficult to navigate. Event stewards will be available, subject to peak movements, to assist disabled guests in getting in to the main arena.

Disabled parking is available in the main public car parks roughly 250 metres from the event

Disabled toilets are provided on site.

There is no covered viewing platform at Inspired 2019 but there is a small area reserved for disabled guests. However, if disabled guests find that there are specific problems resulting from their disability, please contact one of the stewards who will be happy to do everything possible to help you.

What if it rains?

This is an outdoor event and as such, the heavens may open. Please note that the event will not be cancelled or refunds available in the event of bad weather. Please make sure you have suitable clothing for the weather, footwear, mac’s, suncream (hopefully). Please see the event website / facebook site for updates on weather as we get closer to the show.

What time does the event start/finish?

The gates open at 2.00pm and we recommend that you get to the castle, so that you don’t miss any of the action!

The show starts at 3:00pm and finishes at 10:30pm (10:00pm on the 4thAugust).


What Bands are on each day?

There is a full line up of bands on the events website. The organisers reserve the right to change the line up at anytime.

Historic Monument

Abergavenny Castle is a beautiful part of all our history and as such is protected by law as an ancient monument, guest should not climb walls or damage the castle’s infrastructure.  Please take care due to nature of ground and potential obstacles and also respect the surroundings.

Age Limit’s 

Inspired 2019 is a family friendly event, however all persons under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, aged 18 or over at all times.

Please note on entry all under 16s need to arrive at the gate with their parent or guardian over the age of 18.

Do I need ID?

If you are lucky enough to look young and wish to buy alcohol you may need ID.

Acceptable forms of ID are as follows:

Valid Drivers licence

Valid PASS Card

All bars will operate a challenge 25 policy.

You may be asked to provide ID at the bars. The bars reserve the right to refuse sale of alcohol to anyone unable to show valid Photo ID.

Do children need tickets?

Yes, every person attending Inspired 2019 must have a ticket.

I can’t go?

We are unable to refund or exchange tickets. If you have spare tickets and would like to trade them at face value or less, please use the Twickets website.
